Freelance Design Work for Capel and May Studios 1993-1995
I left Farnham school of art and design in 1993, at my degree show i was contacted to produce freelance designs working to design briefs based on the forecast for each season. Although, my degree show work was based on fragments and elements and not intended to be made into repeat patterns. I decided to use my practice of hand printing and dying to create design with an element of freedom, which meant that it would be up to the design industry who purchased the design to make it into a workable repeat pattern. Below is a section of work sold at print trade fairs.
In 1995 I decided to train to be a teacher.
