Collective Memory, Archive and Recall
My praxis falls somewhere within the liminal effect of the ephemeral memory and the notion of what was. I have a compulsion to collect, store, record, remember, revisit, unearth and recover the forgotten. It is through the archive personal, collective (family/friends), local and national that I may start on a journey of ‘multiple entry points’ (Deleuze and Guattari, 2013). It is within all this material that I find my research. The fragmented journey may lead to conversations about the past and in turn, memory will resurface.
The interweaving process of examining memory, archiving and the embodiment of memory through collective pedagogical experience forms an integral part of my praxis.
